How to Return to Stock on 2017+ Raptor / F150 3.5 Ecoboost - nGauge

One of the files included when you receive your MPT tunes is titled: “Return-To-Stock.enc” You'll use this file to return the vehicle to stock. The standard procedure on the nGauge for returning to stock doesn’t apply to the 2017+ vehicles. In order to “return to stock” you will use the same function as installing a custom tune: “Load Tune” and select this file. This is an exact copy of your stock file and will need to be loaded and driven before going to the dealer for any type of service.

Prior to Step 1- Ensure your nGauge tuner has the microSD inserted, and that the OBDII cable is plugged in to the OBDII port of the vehicle.Step 1 – With nGauge plugged into the vehicle and powered on at the main menu, select “Tuning” from the main menu.

 

  • Step 1 – With nGauge plugged into the vehicle and powered on at the main menu, select “Tuning” from the main menu.

 

  • Step 2 – In the “Tuning” menu, select “Load Tune." Do not select "Load Stock," it does not apply on 2017 vehicles.

 

  • Step 3 – A screen will display with right and left arrows. Your MPT tunes and the Stock file will be listed here. The stock file is named: “Return-To-Stock.enc” Select this file to return to stock.

 

  • Step 4 – The nGauge will confirm “Flash this tune”? Tap check. Confirm time to flash in next screen by tapping check.

 

  • Step 5 – When prompted to Turn Key On, make sure to turn the key on without turning on ignition.

 

  • Step 6 – Once the nGauge completes loading the stock file into your vehicle, the vehicle is back to stock. It will inform you that the stock file installed successfully, and to wait ten seconds until starting the vehicle. Once ten seconds passes, start the vehicle.
