Getting Started

Thank you for choosing MPT! Your tunes were built and loaded to your tuner in-house. We update all SCT Tuners before shipping them out; however, there are vehicle-specific updates required to follow tuning. Follow the instructions below to download the required files. Note: SCT software is not compatible with iMac/MacBook computers or Chromebooks. Your PC must have Windows.

STEP 1 – Gather Vehicle Information

1. Connect to the vehicle’s OBDII port and turn key ON.
   1. For push-to-start, push ignition switch one time to turn on accessory mode.
2. Select Vehicle Info and select Continue.
   1. X4/7015: use the arrows to scroll down to Vehicle Info and press select.
   2. Livewire TS+/5015PN: swipe left on the screen to find Vehicle Info.
      1. Livewires will auto-detect the key-on cycle. This can be turned on/off in the Device Settings.

STEP 2 – Update Your SCT Tuner

1. Download and install SCT Device Updater. (Download link is in the email you received with the backup copy of your tunes)
   1. Do not connect your tuner to USB until after the updater finishes installing.
2. Open Device Updater.
   1. There should be an icon saved on your desktop that looks like this:
      
3. Click the first button, labeled Automatically Check for Updates.
   1. The updater should show transferring required files at the bottom of the window.
   2. The next page should have all firmware and tune revisions marked Green.

Now that your programmer is updated, you are all set to tune your vehicle. Enjoy!
