What is a Flash Programmer and why do I need one?
A Flash Programmer (AKA Flash Tuner) is a device that will immediately increase the horse power, torque and fuel economy for your vehicle. You choose the type of tune based on the type of performance you desire. Tunes can be switched at any time in a matter of minutes. This includes returning the vehicle to the stock tune, making it 100% reversable. Plus, the tunes can be adjusted in many ways for modifications and your personal preferences.

Because the X4 utilizes the newest flash technology it is THE BEST choice for re-programming your vehicle. This SCT Tuner will first store an exact copy of the vehicle's stock file (needed for warranty repairs) then completely re-program the vehicle's computer.     Allows you to connect external devices such as a wideband to read A/F, an EGT kit to read Exhaust Gas Temperatures, or a Map Sensor to read Boost. Once connected you can display these on the X4 screen using the On-Device Monitoring and/or Pass Through Data Logging.

  • SCT Pre-Loaded On-Device Adjustable Options:
    When installing the preloaded SCT tunes onto the vehicle, there are options for the user. The list below reflects available options that the user has to setup the preloaded tunes.

Octane Based Tunes Gas vehicle's preloaded tunes vary Performance levels by octane. For example, 3 preloaded tunes may indicate an 87 octane tune, 91 octane tune and 93 octane tune. Premium fuel will provide the best performance increase over stock.
Axle Ratio Set the axle ratio to correct shift patterns and speedometer.
Tire Size Set the tire size to correct shift patterns and speedometer.
Idle Speed Sets Idle speed in RPM.
Traction Control On/Off setting disables traction control without using the TCS button.
WOT Shift Increase or Decrease the WOT shift points of each gear individually by MPH.
Shift Pressure % change in transmission pressure during shifts. (+ equals firmer, - equals softer)
Global Spark Add or remove timing advance to the entire RPM range.
Spark by RPM Add or remove timing by RPM range. (0-2000) (2000-4000) (4000-8000)
WOT Fuel Add or remove fuel at wide open throttle. (WOT)
Fuel Injectors Allows you to adjust for different sized injectors.
Fan Control Lowers the temperature at which the fan turns on.
Rev Limiter Drive Sets rev limit in RPM while in drive.
Rev Limiter Neutral Sets rev limit in RPM while in neutral.
Speed Limiter Remove, Increase or Decrease the vehicles speed limiter. (aka governor)

  • When I try to update my tuner, it says “Please connect SCT device” but it’s already plugged in.
    • This is an issue with your PC’s driver software. See SCT's knowledge base at: https://sctflash.com/sct-support/ or contact an MPT Expert for assistance.

  • When I connect the tuner to the vehicle, it doesn’t power on.
    • Check for blown fuses specific to the OBDII port for your vehicle.

  • Does the tuner have to stay plugged in to keep the vehicle tuned?
    • No, after tuning the vehicle you can disconnect the programmer and store it.

  • Can I stack/combine the X4 with another chip or tuning module?
    • All chips/tuning products must be removed prior to tuning with any SCT device.

  • Can I tune more than one vehicle with this programmer?
    • Yes, but only one vehicle may be tuned at a time and you MUST return the vehicle to the stock to before tuning another vehicle. Please note, there is a limit to how many times you can change vehicles (5). Each time the tuner programs a different vehicle, an unlock is used. This includes using it on a vehicle that had been previously tuned by the device.

  • Can the vehicle be tuned while the engine is running?
    • It is not recommended to tune the vehicle while the engine is running as this can cause severe damage to the vehicle and the PCM.

  • Should I return to stock before taking my car to the dealer?
    • It is recommended that you always return your vehicle to stock before returning to the dealership as this prevents the tuner from becoming locked if the dealer updates the PCM.

  • My device is telling me my car is a Shelby GT500 when I go to program vehicle or My device says Demo Mode when I read Device Info.
    • Check device settings and look for Demo Mode. If it is on disable it by turning it to off. This will cause the device to stop identifying your vehicle as a Shelby GT500 and will now operate as needed.

  • My vehicle is modified and I loaded a preloaded tune. Now it won’t run as expected.
    • In most cases a modified vehicle requires a custom tune. There are set ups in the preloaded tune options to adapt to certain cold air intakes, however this is per vehicle and what works for one vehicle may not work on another. Please contact an MPT Expert for more information, if your vehicle is heavily modified.

  • I keep getting error code 110AF/110AE. The device tells me to update my device, but it is already up to date.
    • You need to read vehicle info and write down your ECU Strategy/ECM OS Part Number. After you’ve read vehicle info you need to go to your computer and update the device using SCT Device Updater to download the additional files needed to tune your vehicle.

  • What is the difference between an unlock and a reset?
    • An Unlock is required when a device is “Locked/Married” to a vehicle that is no longer available. A Reset is needed when you have exceeded the “5 unlocks” on the device. If your device requires either an Unlock or Reset, contact an MPT Expert or SCT directly at https://sctflash.com/sct-support/.

  • I brought my vehicle to get work done at a dealership and they flashed the vehicle now the device is telling me it is the incorrect vehicle.

Shipping Policy

MPT is proud to offer free shipping on most orders over $149.

  • Free shipping applies only to the contiguous United States. Shipping and handling charges will apply to orders outside the contiguous US, and the buyer is responsible for any duty fees or taxes their home country may charge to import goods.
  • With free shipping, we will choose the best shipping method for your order. We use all major carriers, including USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL.

Turnaround Times:

  • MPT Tunes have a standard turnaround time of 2-3 business days, beginning once we receive your MPT Tune Form.
  • We do not process orders on weekends or observed holidays, which do not count as business days.
  • Physical items that are in stock at MPT and ordered by 4PM EST will be shipped the same day. Orders placed after 4PM EST will be processed on the following business day.

Special Considerations:

  • Items not stocked at our location will follow the same processing times but may experience lead-time delays and could incur additional charges. Shipping methods may vary for these items based on what was paid and the requested delivery speed. If you need an item by a specific deadline, please contact an MPT Expert.
  • SCT Tuner Orders with the Prioritized Order option must have their tune forms submitted by 3PM EST to be completed the same day. Forms submitted after this time will be processed the next business day.
  • Orders will ship to the billing address listed on your order. If paying by credit or debit card, we can only ship to the billing address. Contact an MPT Expert for assistance if you need a different shipping address.

MPT Performance Returns and Refund Policy

  • A Return Authorization Number (RA #) is required for all returns. Please contact an MPT Expert to obtain an RA# before sending anything back.
  • MPT tuning charges and license fees are non-refundable. The sale is final once MPT has sent the tune file via email, which applies to both new tune purchases and tune updates.

Returnable Products:

  • Products (other than MPT Tunes) may be returned within 30 days as long as they have not been installed and are in brand new, unused condition with original packaging. Installed products are non-refundable. MPT reserves the right to deny a return if the product shows signs of installation or damage.
  • Vehicle programmers/tuners that have loaded a tune onto a vehicle cannot be returned.

Refund Amounts:

  • Returns postmarked within 15 days of receipt will be refunded the purchase price minus the shipping cost MPT paid.
  • Returns postmarked between 16 and 30 days will be refunded the purchase price minus a 25% restocking fee and the shipping cost.
  • After 30 days, all sales are final.

Non-Refundable Items:

  • Shipping charges and any package insurance are non-refundable. If free shipping was applied to your purchase, the actual shipping cost will be subtracted from your refund.
  • HP Tuners Credits are non-refundable once they’ve been assigned to a device’s serial number, which occurs either during the purchase or upon completing the tune form.
  • Digital products like SCT Tuner Unlocks, HP Tuners Credits, or MPT Tunes cannot be refunded.
  • Decals/Stickers are non-refundable once received by the customer.

Prx and almost nothing more. The day time run was my first ever. That was against a hell cat and he got a .7 head start because I was blanking out lol. I ran an 11.91 at 115mph

93 PR-X Tune

My 2022 F150 3.5 EB is a totally different truck after the 93 PR-X Tune. After trying different tunes I decided to get the 93 PR-X Tune and the truck pulls really hard and the transmission is really smooth! Im really happy with the customer service and attention of Mike and Josh!

93 daily-tow tune

mpt has always had a good reputation with ecoboost f150s and was one of the few i knew supported the 2022 3.5l ecoboost. 93 prx tune is night and day difference the truck is ridiculously fast and so much smoother with the shifts no more gear hunting or stumbling all around just better same with the 93 daily-tow tune it cleaned up shifting and throttle response added power and torque while still being conservative enough to safely tow and be a good mannered street truck but its hard not to stay in the prx tune

Everything Ford should have done

Had an '18 Gen 2 Raptor and used MPT tunes from 5k to 100k miles over a 4 year period. Had zero issues with engine or transmission. Everything those 4 years was a gain in performance with no negative side effects. Purchased my 22 Raptor and was worried about the OTA updates and having a tune installed so I hesitated at first. Luckily MPT hadn't released their tunes yet. Once the tunes were released I was no longer concerned about any issues with updates so the timing worked out perfectly. After 4 years of experience with the previous truck and the tunes I had no reservations or really any other logical reason to go to anybody else for the tuning of the new truck. Big thanks go out to Mike and the crew at MPT for putting out a stellar service. Now as far as performance changes with the truck it goes without saying, they get rid of everything Ford Performance should have done in the first place. Clunky shifting at low rpm, gone. Lagging throttle response, gone. HP output of what the engine and transmission can safely handle, done deal. Everything about the tune works and works well.

Best Gen3 Tuner

21-22 f150! I’ve used two other companies while waiting for this opportunity. So with *** tuning on 93 plus 100 shot of nitrous from a wet kit I had dialed in my 1/8th mile times were consistently in the mid to high 7’s with MPT on 93 PRX and 6 revisions my truck is faster then *** with nitrous and I’m leaving the nitrous off! Innercooler turbo piping hot and cold side high flow downs and Cobb exhaust and we’ve ran 7.33 in the 1/8th! That’s fast. Like really fast. For a 4door truck that weighs 7k.
