Proposition 65 (Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) is a California law that applies to all companies selling products in California. Proposition 65 requires warnings if a product contains any listed chemical present above very low levels that are known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Proposition 65’s warning standards are among the most stringent in the world. Proposition 65 is not a product safety law, but rather a “right-to-know” law. Businesses are required to provide warnings to comply with Proposition 65. These warnings are required to be in place for all products offered for sale in California.
There are over 800 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, which is administered by California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency. The list includes naturally occurring and man-made chemicals. Proposition 65 warnings can be seen for a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including Automotive Performance products, and warnings can be seen posted throughout California in a variety of establishments such as hotels, restaurants, automobile dealerships/repair shops, and retail stores just to name a few.
To comply with the requirements of Proposition 65, this warning is present on all products sold by MPT.

This harness gives precision control over intake air temperature (IAT) measurement in forced induction Coyote 5.0 L engines from 2011–2014. It lets a second IAT sensor (IAT2) tie directly into the factory ECU, bypassing limitations of the stock MAF/IAT setup. For anyone building a supercharged or turbocharged Coyote motor—especially using VMP, Whipple, Kenne Bell, or PD blower systems—this harness enables accurate temperature measurement in the manifold, which is critical for safe tuning and maximizing performance under boost.
Key Features
Adds a dedicated IAT2 circuit tied into the stock ECU for manifold temperature monitoring
Plugs inline with the MAF wiring harness to bypass the factory IAT within the MAF sensor
Designed for forced induction setups (supercharged or turbocharged) on 11–14 Coyote motors
Compatible with VMP, Whipple, Kenne Bell, PD blower systems (in non-factory ECU configurations)
Requires calibration support (the MCT switch must be enabled) for proper operation
Rugged wiring construction, sealed connectors to withstand engine bay conditions
Benefits
Enables more precise tuning under boost by measuring intake charge temperature at the manifold, not just at the MAF
Helps prevent detonation, mistuning, and knock by delivering more accurate temperature data
Adds flexibility for high-boost or high-charge systems where air heat soak is significant
Minimal wiring upgrade—no major rework or harness overhaul
Backed by standard warranty (check warranty duration with the manufacturer)
Product Specs
Part number: VMP-SUP066
Color: black (wiring loom) with OEM-style connectors
Material: automotive-grade wire with weather-resistant insulation and sealed connectors
Connector types: MAF inline connector + IAT sensor connector
Length: sufficient to interface between MAF harness and ECU tie-in point
Weight: lightweight (few ounces)
Operating environment: rated for engine-bay temperatures, vibration, and heat cycles
Install Difficulty level
Installation is straightforward and approachable for any DIYer with basic wiring experience. Most users report completion in under 30 minutes (splicing inline the MAF harness, mounting the IAT sensor in the manifold, and plugging into the ECU). The design keeps the install clean with no major disassembly required. Calibration (enabling the MCT switch) is the only software step, but that’s standard in forced induction tuning.
Vehicle Fitment
Fits Ford Mustang and Ford F-150 models equipped with the 5.0 L Coyote engine from years 2011 through 2014. Applicable to both naturally aspirated and forced induction builds, though the harness is especially useful in supercharged or turbocharged applications (SC/Turbo) that tie additional IAT sensors to the stock PCM.
CARB / EO Status
This product is not CARB approved and is not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled vehicles in the state of California or other CARB-regulated regions.
