Hey there, fellow Bronco enthusiast! If you’re the proud owner of a 2021-2025 Bronco with the 2.7L V6 Ecoboost engine, you’re in for a treat. We’re talking about bed covers – those sleek, functional accessories that not only protect your cargo but also make your rig look downright badass.
Now, let’s get down to business. You might know them as “bed covers,” but these versatile beauties go by various names in the automotive world. Brace yourself for a wild ride through the nomenclature jungle:
Tonneau Covers: The classic moniker. It sounds fancy, like something James Bond would use to conceal secret gadgets. Tonneau covers come in different styles – roll-up, folding, retractable – but they all share one mission: keeping your gear safe and dry.
Engine Cap Covers: Wait, what? Yes, you read that right. Some folks confuse bed covers with engine covers. Imagine showing up at a car meet with a bed cover on your engine – talk about turning heads!
Cargo Concealers: Sounds mysterious, doesn’t it? These covers hide your stuff from prying eyes, whether it’s camping gear, tools, or a stash of snacks for off-road adventures.
Glad you asked! Here’s why you need a bed cover for your Bronco:
Weather Warrior: Picture this: You’re out exploring, and suddenly the skies open up. Rain pours down, and you’re left with soggy gear. A bed cover shields your cargo from the elements, keeping everything bone-dry.
Security Blanket: Thieves hate bed covers. Seriously, they do. These bad boys make it harder for sticky-fingered bandits to snatch your valuables. Plus, they add an extra layer of protection to your gear.
Aerodynamic Awesomeness: Ever notice how your gas mileage improves when you’re not hauling a parachute behind your Bronco? Yep, that’s the magic of aerodynamics. A bed cover reduces drag, making your adventures more fuel-efficient.
When it comes to bed covers, we’ve got the cream of the crop:
Jcr Offroad: Their Bronco Engine Cover for the 6th Gen (21+) is like a tailored suit for your engine bay. Easy to install, it adds a touch of rugged elegance. Just watch out for those pesky screws – they tend to go on vacation!
UPR Products: Their 6pc Cap Cover Set is CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum. It’s like giving your Bronco a high-end makeover. Oil, radiator, brake fluid – it’s got you covered (pun intended).
Roush Performance: While not exactly bed covers, their Level 1 Performance Pac for the 2021 Bronco 2.7L EcoBoost engine is worth a mention. Easy to install, it’s like adding a turbo boost to your Bronco’s soul.

After months of online research and reviewing, MPT seemed to be the right fit for me. Couldn’t be happier. First and second gear absolutely rip now. Throttle lag solved

I read a lot of reviews on different forums and there wasnt really anything on my year truck (2012 F150) I read a lot of reviews talking about caltracs making noise over bumps and making the vehicle ride really harsh and louder because of the solid bushings vs the rubber coated OEM ones. So I was hesitant on purchasing these traction bars but purchased them anyway.
I had really bad axel wrap / hopping when burning out, it wasn't smooth. I purchase these and installed them and I couldn't be happier. The install wasnt bad. Used a ball joint press and a puller to remove the old bushings and used the ball joint press to install the new bushings in the leaf springs. I had to purchase longer ubolts because of the thicker lower plate (truck has 3" blocks on the rear) and the links supplied was short. I called caltracs directly and explained the issue with the links (original 29") and I needed 31.5" for the install. (Probably due to the 3" rear blocks) And they sent me the correct length within a few days.
This took care of the wheel hop and exel wrap completely. The truck drives normal, not harsh or stiff. It isn't louder because of the solid bushings and it doesn't make any noise over bumps or rough roads.
Excellent purchase and excellent customer support.
2018 Expedition Max EcoBoost. Everyone online said that an MPT tune is a must have on the EcoBoost. Everyone was right. I got the 91 Daily/Tow tune just 1 day before driving across the country from Florida to Denver towing my 30ft. camper trailer (not for fun… we moved). This tune turned the expedition into an absolute beast. The tow haul function, power, and gearing made it so easy and effortless pulling the camper. 2000 miles in 4 days. 12.4 miles per gallon. It’s a whole new and exciting driving experience. Thanks MPT.
